A Fresh Perspective on Kitchen Living

The homeowners envisioned a brighter, more inviting kitchen for their retirement home—a space that felt open and comfortable for everyday living, yet welcoming when family came to visit. The original layout, with its awkward angles and cramped work areas, wasn't making the most of the home's potential.

By reshaping the peninsula into an L-shaped configuration, we opened up the kitchen and created room for a larger, more functional island with concealed trash storage and a built-in microwave drawer. Relocating the sink brought beautiful views of the pool and surrounding marshland into everyday routines, while replacing the wall ovens with a centrally positioned range created a striking focal point and unlocked valuable cabinet storage.

To bring the entire open living area together, we also redesigned the cabinetry flanking the fireplace, incorporating matching finishes, glass displays, and accent lighting. The result is a cohesive, thoughtfully planned space that feels just as welcoming for a quiet evening at home as it does for a family holiday gathering.
